In 2019, the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics joined forces with key partners in child health to form the Washington Child Health Improvement Partnership (WA-CHIP) to advance the health and well-being of all children in the state.

About WA-CHIP

The Washington Child Health Improvement Partnership (WA-CHIP) is led by the Washington Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Seattle Children’s, Public Health – Seattle & King County, and the Washington State Department of Health with funding support from the Washington State Department of Health, the Best Starts for Kids initiative, insurers, and philanthropic organizations.

Our Work

WA-CHIP works with state-level leaders, community partners, and clinics to advance child health via:

First Year Families: Advancing family well-being and child development in the first years of life (ages 0-5), and

Champions for Youth: Ensuring primary care, state agencies, and school partnerships advance well-being for school-aged children and adolescents.

We are now recruiting clinics to participate in a Champions for Youth Immunizations QI Project! Learn more on our Immunizations Learning Collaborative page
